History

By the end of the seventeenth century, there were four bells in the tower. These bells were recast by Taylor's and rehung in a new cast iron H-frame frame in 1923. They were quickly augmented to six in 1928. More recently, a new first floor ringing room was created in 1990 and in 1998 a successful bid was made to the Millennium Fund for help to fund the augmentation of this ring to eight, the work was completed in November 1999.
