Our junior ringers are the future of ringing in our area. Open to anyone aged 10+ who is interested in learning to ring or already ringing, teaching follows the ‘Learning the Ropes’ programme

A charge of £2 per event covers registration, certificates, books and refreshments at our monthly meetings.

Young ringers are encouraged to bring their non-ringing friends, but must let tutors know in advance. We will give them a taster of ringing and discuss the best options for their proper teaching.

The Ringing World National Youth Contest began in York in 2013. Entry is open to any young ringer aged 18 or under. You can enter a 6 bell band or an 8 bell band, and you can ring Call Changes or any method of your choice. The judges are also young ringers who have participated in previous contests and the whole day is an inspiration to those who take part. The next contest is at York on Saturday 8th July 2023.

Young Change Ringers Association

The Three Spires team came together to take part in one of the early National Youth Contests in York in 2013. We encourage young ringers to join us at our monthly practices where you can meet other young ringers and get some hints (and cake/pizza!) We also join in with Young Change Ringers Association events. To find out more, click here for Xanthe's report from Birmingham 2022.
