Our junior ringers are the future of ringing! The youth team is open to anyone aged 10+ who is interested in learning to ring or already ringing. We follow the ‘Learning the Ropes’ programme

A charge of £2 per event covers a tower donation and refreshments at our monthly meetings.

Young ringers are encouraged to bring their non-ringing friends, but please let tutors know in advance. We will give them a taster of ringing and discuss the best options for their proper teaching.

Our youth team (The Three Spires) competed in the The Ringing World National Youth Contest in London in July 2024 coming joint third in the 6-bell call change contest! We enjoyed a fabulous day out in London ringing at 5 impressive towers, including Cornhill and Bow, in addition to the competition tower, Garlickhythe. There were mini-rings and loads of activities for everyone of every ability level. The results were held in St Pauls Cathedral with an amazing photo of all the young ringers (36 teams in total) on the steps. Well done to Amber & Alesha (Mavesyn Ridware), Rowan (Tamworth), Oliver (Little Aston), Xavier (Nether Whitacre) and Xanthe (Abbots Bromley).

The next contest is on Saturday 5th July 2025

Young Change Ringers Association

The Three Spires team came together to take part in one of the early National Youth Contests in York in 2013. We encourage young ringers to join us at our monthly practices where you can meet other young ringers and get some hints (and cake/pizza!) We also join in with Young Change Ringers Association events. To find out more, click here for Xanthe's report from Birmingham 2022.
